Veggies are so important to our diet, delivering vitamins and minerals, and filling you up with little sodium, calories, or fat. They can reduce the risk of cancer and other chronic diseases. The CDC recommends getting between 3-5 servings each day. Sadly, the typical American diet is far from this goal.
Why? Because frankly, we don't know how to cook them to make them taste good! We typically steam them, and add butter and salt.....BORING!!! They get mushy, over-cooked, and just...blah.
